The following projects span the principal’s career across Parosa and prior roles at Broadcom, Delart, and earlier companies. They illustrate the kinds of problems we take on and the depth we bring to them.


Millimeter-wave mesh networking at scale

Wireless architecture · Standards · Systems design

Terragraph is a 60 GHz wireless mesh architecture designed to deliver fiber-class connectivity without laying fiber, using automatic node discovery and continuous link maintenance. The work covered system design and architecture across chipsets from two vendors, alongside the standards effort needed to make the underlying technology viable.

That standards work included lead contribution to IEEE 802.11ad and 802.11ay for fixed wireless applications in unlicensed 60 GHz spectrum, more than twenty submissions to the 802.11 working group, and multiple filings to the FCC and ETSI addressing coexistence between fixed wireless and consumer devices.


Wireless USB, from concept to standard

Specification authorship · Systems engineering

As primary author of the WiGig USB specification, the work defined how USB traffic could be carried over short-range 60 GHz radio — removing the cable without changing how devices behave. The specification was subsequently adopted as Media Agnostic USB and is supported natively in Windows.


Real-time link performance visualization

Software platform · Instrumentation

Understanding wireless link behavior requires seeing it as it happens. This engagement delivered a complete real-time visualization platform — measurement agent, server, and web dashboard — built in Python to support 802.11 link performance studies, giving engineers immediate visibility into behavior that logs alone could not surface.


A custom IPv4/v6 stack for 3G handsets

Embedded software · Protocol optimization

Mobile handsets impose hard memory and compute limits on network software. This project delivered a complete custom IPv4/v6 stack for 3G phones, implementing and tuning a range of TCP extensions — selective acknowledgment, retransmission timeout calculation, initial window sizing, Nagle’s algorithm — alongside Wi-Fi driver optimization for throughput.


Scheduling-aware routing for optical networks

Research · Algorithms · Network control

As principal investigator on a Department of Energy SBIR award, this work integrated distributed scheduling and advance reservation into all-optical circuit-switched networks. It produced a new theoretical foundation for path computation under scheduling constraints — applying min-plus algebra to shortest-path problems with time-varying link costs — together with a full specification of OSPF-TE and RSVP-TE protocol extensions. The effort secured Phase II funding.


Dabble, a word game for iOS

Product development · Mobile

Built and launched independently under Parosa, Dabble is a relaxing word game written in native Swift and SwiftUI, covering the full product cycle from design through App Store launch and monetization.
